I think that instead of telling him not ever to have her in their social media posts, you have a conversation with guidelines that are safety oriented. No full names. No addresses. No photos or videos of her school that make it easy to identify the school (which the parents of other kids at the school would likely appreciate as well).

As PPs have noted, your ex is still the parent of your daughter and unless you have sole legal custody of her, you are not the only person who gets to make decisions for her.
