We told our kid to bring Valentines for every kid, or JUST ONE!!!!!

Our WTOP elementary school did a Valentine's exchange today and they had a little party. I don't think the loss of a half hour is going to ruin my DD's future. This is just your typical psycho social justice warrior DCUM whack jobs raising an issue where there isn't one.

Only requirement- if you participate, must bring a Valentine for every classmate.

Waste of paper, time, energy and effort. Manufactured commercial waste of time. If you want to do something at home fine but should not be a big deal in schools. Frankly it is just weird.

It's a fun way for kids to give each other little gifts and cards. What's the harm?

Also, Valentine's Day has been celebrated in various forms for more than a thousand years. Hallmark didn't just make it up.

Our charter does not recognize holidays. There was a big thing years ago if pumpkins were autumnal or Halloween.

Interesting - they do now have dress as your favorite superhero as a part of spirit week. I guess the message of no costumes only applies to at Halloween
