I hope you are getting courtside seats from your mechanic. 9k for the air suspension? Wtf- do you know what the prices are for oem struts for that car?!? |
I am also interested to hear who this person is bringing their car to... from this article the 2015 dealer parts + labor price for a single corner would have been ~$1500: https://jalopnik.com/my-air-suspension-failed-again-another-carmax-warran-1683787880 Indy Rover mechanic would obviously be even cheaper. |
| As another rr owner, I will vouch for the 9000 dollar cost. Look at the posters note, he didn’t say where he had the service done but I’d be willing to bet it was at the dealer after the warranty expired. I had a 2010 rrsc and it cost 8 or 9 k. Can’t remeber exactly to get all the bags etc changed when the suspension started to collapse. You can look for a cheaper price the time is money. |
I believe a dealer might charge that much. But this daddy warbucks poster says went independent after warranty expired. Oem strut is 500 bucks.... even four corners and a compressor shouldn’t be more than 4K. One rover has abusive, terrible dealer network. |
If someone else is buying courtside seats for their mechanic, maybe you should buy courtside (or courtroom) seats for your criminal tax lawyer, as you may need one. |
I think daddy warbucks is actually on to something. And his tax lawyer might say that getting a rr is a good business move. https://www.financialsamurai.com/tax-rules-for-buying-a-vehicle-and-deducting-as-a-business-expense/ |
