| Odd. We are in DC,are using turbo tax and haven't encountered this. It must only apply if you have kids of a certain age. |

It sounds like you either need to keep calling TT and ask them to fix it, override it, or file a different way (on paper, with HR Block software, or at a free tax clinic if your income is low enough). They don't use turbo tax but something called TaxWise--not sure if TW has the same issue as TT but the folks working there are smart and can override or help you file on paper if needed. |
| I assume this is long sense taken care of, but I was having the same problem. If I clicked no, to indicate that I didn't qualify, it would import my info from elsewhere and give me the credit. Once I clicked yes, I then had to manually enter everything, and then could unclick the box that disqualified me. |
| We're in DC with two dependents and didn't have this problem. Maybe it's taken care of by now. |
