Mine is 8th grader in RCMS humanities. I was amazed with the quality of the program and the way of teaching the magnet classes. I heard of a lot of fights in school but as long as your kid stays with the rest of the magnet kids, she will be fine. Your daughter has to take non-magnet classes with non-magnet kids but there are always couple of other magnet kids in the class.

My DS is 7th grade in RCMS Math/Sci program.
The program is excellent, curriculum designed with inter disciplinary focus, tight schedules with home work and projects. The teachers are great. Principal is awesome, PTSA and Center PAC are very active.

He had little trouble with non magnet kids in the first two quarters of 6th grade. In particular during his Spanish 1 class with some non magnet 8th graders doing Spanish 1 along with him. Now he has gone past that and he is happy with the school and has friends with both magnet and non magnet kids.
