Is it worth paying extra 75k when buying a home which has upgrades worth more than 100k?

Sounds like its priced at 75 cents on the dollar for the upgrades. The more typical range is 50 cents. So the price is high for the average comparable situation. However, the question is what are the upgrades worth to you? If you like them so much....you can justify paying the 75 cents or even close to a full dollar. Just don't expect others on resale to do the same.

Do remember, the upgrades are only 'worth' what someone is willing to pay, regardless of how much they may have cost. That said, I wish I had been in a spot to pay for an upgraded kitchen and master bath so I wouldn't have to do it myself! It would have been worth an extra chunk of money to me (but couldn't swing it in our targeted area, where that would have been more like $200 extra)
