if you are a 61y.o. mom, what would you like for your bday?

I am in my 60s, my kids are both around 40, the best stuff they get me are:

books they know I want (either real, kindle, or audio)

Nats stuff (beach towel, hoodie, socks, or hey- tickets!)

gift cards to stores or restaurants they know I like but hesitate to treat myself to if money is tight

just show up and take me out to eat and to a movie

just show up and bring food and watch a movie or Nats game with me

framed pics of my grandkids

Not sure what I actually want. Maybe an Everlane cashmere sweater. Or a new pair of running shoes. Or a lululemon shirt or pullover.

I'm 54 and these are things I would like. Or really nice perfume that I like but I've run out and usually don't buy for myself. Nice lined leather gloves. A new pair of Uggs (over the limit). I really love that fruit-of-the-month thing, which is weird and probably just me!

Thanks all for the ideas! I am far away from her and not able to visit this year (which usually I do on her bday). She has everything she needs and wants to it gets harder every year, but you've given me some great ideas

Except for the one nincompoop who reminded me I don't have many years left w/ her - you suck!

Artwork from the grandkids.

You know how, when you are raising kids, there is a constant stream of drawings and artwork all over the house that the kids have done? It's kind of overwhelming at that phase of life. Turns out that once the kids are grown and moved out, that stuff NEVER happens anymore. I miss it. Okay, I don't want 20 drawings a month like back in the intense mom days, but four or five a year would be nice.

Also, a gift certificate to get my car detailed would be nice.

I am 59.

Does she like cooking? You could do a cooking class with her for a new type of cuisine.
