Good place for sushi NW DC

I’ve been going to Kaz for 15 years - since it was a once a semester treat during law school. The setting is minimalist, but the fish is consistently great - do the chef’s specials if you have limited time/budget or the omakase if you can.

Toryumon is a newer sushi place near the Farragut West metro. Nice atmosphere, great food.

I'm a big fan of Momiji if you are in Chinatown.

Bump. My teenager’s birthday is coming up we’d like to take him to a nicer sushi restaurant to celebrate. Is Sushi Taro still considered one of the best? Pretty much anywhere in NW or close in Maryland work. Thanks!!

Raku is a family favorite especially for more complicated rolls. They have a location in Cathedral Commons and one (called Rakuya) in Dupont.
