Well, for me, all the crap that gets done in the name of Christianity, for one. The pushing of religion and the bible on others, is another. Using "it's god's plan" or "god's will" or anything along those lines as reason or fact. Priests abusing their power. The treatment of Nuns and all women.

The overall message of "Love one another" in Christianity is a good one. Very good. But using god and Christianity to shun people or kill people or hurt people emotionally and physically has turned a lot of folks off. Myself included. I see the most devout Christians to be the most intolerant of differences.

So. The message "Love one another" has been corrupted by all the sh!t that swirls around the evangelicals and Christianity in general.

So it's Christians, not Christianity, that bother you?

Hum. Good observation. Not all Christians, for sure. The use of Christianity (or any religion) as an excuse to be a jerk is one thing I object to. And the use of the bible as a primary source, because it obviously isn't.

I don't want marriage advice from religion. I didn't marry due to religion and i sure as shit am not staying married because God wants me to. I don't want to be a 'dutiful' wife. I want to be in a partnership and learn tools to strengthen and grow a marriage that is not based on some fictional book that gets misinterpreted daily as people pick and choose what to follow and persecute those who don't
