Expectant and Postpartum Moms
| I was power walking on the treadmill about 4 weeks after delivery. Increased workout intensity after my 6 week check up. |
| I had a natural delivery with minimal tearing and at 2 weeks post-partum my OB strongly recommended I do some walking/running to help combat the severe post-partum anxiety I was dealing with. |

OP here. Thanks for all of the helpful input.
To answer PP, yes, I've been a runner since high school - have completed a few marathons and was running regularly up until I broke my toe the day after I found out I was pregnant. After that annoying injury healed, pregnancy workouts have consisted of brisk walks, elliptical, and yoga 4-5 times a week. Lately I've been noticing a significant decrease in exercise capacity, and I'm very curious to see how quickly (if ever) I feel like I'm "back" after the baby's born. |
| I went for my first run at 3 weeks PP. I was back running regularly by 6ish weeks. I had a vaginal delivery and tore pretty significantly, but was lucky in that everything healed very well and I had minimal pain after the first 2 or 3 days. |
