Tips on buying a new car with cash

Costco car buying program. Discussed here several times.

I negotiated for buying the car with credit card. Ended up charging about $28k on a credit card with 1.5% cash back, and paid the balance the following month.

I wished I could have done that, but the dealership limited me to $3000.
