"If you want to sleep at night, don't marry a beautiful wife."
I grew up hearing this. I don't want an ugly woman, but I don't want a beauty queen either. Even if she's down to earth, I just don't have time for the drama and maintenance that comes with her. I prefer plain janes who can fix themselves up from time to time. If you can make up for what you think you lack in attraction with sex, conversation, and shared interests...you'll be fine. |
Yes, guys like sex and low maintenance. |
| Millions do. I am one. |
+1. There are plenty of unattractive men to choose from. Like attracts like. Most couples are similar including their level of attractiveness. |
| Almost every woman alive is capable of being attractive to most men. JUST GET SUPER FIT. A rocking body is 90% of what it takes to be an attractive woman, and this is entirely within your control. |
| Of course! Beauty is somewhat in the eye of the beholder, and there are plenty of unattractive men who realize they can't get a 10/10 in looks. Focus on what you can control. |
| The majority of society is comprised of average and ugly looking people. Just adjust YOUR expectations accordingly. There is someone out there for everyone if they aren't mental. |
+1 This is true. Some people are worried about their facial bone structure, but it doesn’t matter that much. As long as you don’t look like Quasimodo, being fit will make you attractive. |
| Look around........there are millions of unattractive people who have found love. |
Agreed. Look how unattractive Trump is (physically and emotionally) and how many relationships he has. Penny Marshall, at first glance, is not physically attractive but she's had plenty of romances (including one with Art Garfunkel who is no physical beauty) and 2 marriages. You need to believe in yourself and have self-esteem/confidence. Undertake activities that help build those. |
| Be enjoyable to be with. Be pleasant and giving with your effort and affection |
+1000 Just pay a trainer and a nutrionist to put a plan together for you and then get in the gym and work it. I think it cost me $60. It’ll pay huge dividends in you attractiveness, self image, confidence, strength and health. And, guess what? It’s entirely within your control. You don’t have to be better than other people, just be the best version of yourself. |
Guy here - this post is spot on. Men don’t look at just faces, or hair, or nails - they look at the whole package. Just hit the gym and eat healthy. You might even meet someone at the gym who’s on the same journey. |
| Daily sex leads more men to fall in love than good looks. |
Yes, but if you aren't attractive how do you get to the sex stage?! |
