Im a man and I broke up with one of the exes for a reason that didnt involve her doing anything wrong.
I missed her for 4 years, almost every day ... I didnt cry all the time so it did get better but it took 4 years to go for days without thinking about her.

Do you watch him online? If so that could be why you miss him. Also if you are in some form of communication, even sporadically.
