...and remember some of the New York state degree programs are at Cornell (Ivy or not)... Ag comes to mind.

I’m pretty sure that was a joke mocking the DCUM crowd that puts UVA on a pedestal. Congrats to your daughter- that is awesome! |
The safety ivy, lol how dopey Act naturally Accurate estimate Anxious patient Alone Together Almost exactly Absolutely unsure Awfully good Bad health Bankrupt millionaire Baggy tights Baby giant Big baby Clean coal Clever fool Clearly confused Close distance Deliberate mistake Devout atheist Diminishing growth Exact estimate Extremely average Found missing Jumbo shrimp Long shorts Loud silence Mandatory volunteering Minor crisis Near miss Open secret Peace force Pool table Random logic Required donation Rolling stop Terribly pleased Unbelievably real Working vacation War games Young adult |
Actually, it's because it is the top-ranked IVY ENGINEERING PROGRAM. That's why. |
| On DCUM, very few people are as funny or clever as they think. Cornell is an awesome school and congrats to you child. |
| The waiting is torture. |
You seem fun. |
| Son accepted to UMass with a nice scholarship attached. Was his top school because they offer computational linguistics as undergrad (can create the major) and is one of the top schools in the field. Plus, he can take languages at the sister schools. Family from MA, we have a house there as well. Thrilled. Congratulations to all who got their target school |
I have done a significant work with NLP. UMass is highly regarded. Congrats to your son! |
It's actually 67%. Don't try the other state schools if you feel this way. They are moving to 80% instate students and 20% OOS in order to protest the residents. |

Northwestern is 12/15. I heard that Duke moved their 12/15 date up to 12/13.
Yes the waiting is torture. |
Thank you. He’s excited. I dint think he knows a New England winter yet though. That will be a shock.

DD's friend's older brother graduated from UMass and has a fabulous job he loves in Boston making lots of money and getting great experience. He loved UMass. Congrats to your son. |
|
DD waiting for EA results from BC and Case Western.
Any idea when those will be coming out? |
| BC is on the 19th |
