+1 Which ones? BC doesn't. Notre Dame doesn't. Georgetown doesn't. What did you mean, exactly? I did not attend even ONE mass while at BC. |
Notre Dame Georgetown Villanova BC |
Catholic U is by far the most Catholic, since it is run by the Vatican. If they don't require Mass, no one does. |
That is funny. Catholic U is not the most "Catholic". I went to CUA at the same time my sister went to Notre Dame. Mass is available at both but neither required. At CUA we were not even allowed to put up signs in the dorms that said Merry Christmas because it might offend the non Christian students! |
It is still run by the Vatican. No other U.S. catholic school is. |
Georgetown is by far the best school on this list in every sense of the word, by every metric both objective and subjective. The others don’t come close. And my Georgetown grad Jewish son was not required to attend mass (nor was anyone else). |
How about naming ONE of these many metrics? |
They can't. They never can. |
They think Georgetown is the best because it is the least Catholic LOL |
Ranking, prestige, 4 year graduation rate, job acceptance rate, diversity, percentage of kids going on to grad school, and location. Shall we continue? |
Please cite sources. According to USNWR: UND and GT both have 90% 4-year graduation rates. https://www.usnews.com/best-colleges/rankings/highest-grad-rate According to USNWR: UND ranks higher than Georgetown. Notre Dame #18 https://www.usnews.com/best-colleges/university-of-notre-dame-1840 Georgetown #22 https://www.usnews.com/best-colleges/georgetown-university-1445 According to Payscale: UND ranked #32 GT ranked #39 https://www.payscale.com/college-salary-report/bachelors/page/2 As for "prestige," where do you have a metric? Never heard of that...seems to me that this is very subjective? As for students going on to grad school, I am not sure where to find this metric, but I would wager to guess ND is probably very competitive. I agree location for GT is more desirable, except for my kid, he wanted to get away from DC, so there's that. I agree GT is more diverse...I don't need to even look it up. Still, overall rankings for ND are consistently higher than GT. Shall we continue? |
Other than location and diversity, Notre Dame outranks georgetown on all the other metrics. And they have a football team. |
And their alumni network ... |

It's not run by the Vatican; it's run by the US bishops. Also, it's gotten more conservative in recent years, which I like! |
