It was so awful / awkward! I had never paid much attention to how dirty / profane a lot of the cardio songs I like are until I was laying there in a silent room waiting for the next contraction hearing about p*ssy's being licked. Two of the nurses were black (I am not) and while it was DMX saying the N word (not me! i never sing along to that word!) I still felt like I was personally using the word in an otherwise silent delivery room to two black nurses. My husband then very awkwardly changed the song which is how he then got on an awful country string of music which I hated and was almost as awkward.

Hence the advanced planning this time for non-offensive but still energizing songs.

Also, this might not help with that specific song, but you can get clean/radio versions of most songs. Just specify that when you search.
