Problem paying credit card bills online over $10k - is this all banks or just Citibank?

It's probably your bank. USAA limits the amount you can transfer.

OP here. Trying to use citi online banking to pay my Capital One Card. I know in years past I haven’t had a problem. It’s just in the last couple of months (although i’m not sure i’ve hit 10k in one month since last year before this). So, sounds like some citi customers don’t have a problem. I guess i’ll just call to see why my account is doing this all of a sudden. Thanks.

I get what you're implying - that my account has been tagged for some reason -- but I'm a white woman, born and raised in the Midwest, several generations. About as bland as you're going to get! I've had this account for over 20 years - opened when I was a practicing lawyer. Nothing new has changed. Anyway, I think the question has been answered. It's something with my account. Thanks!

Sounds like maybe it’s set up as a mailed check payment?
