| Sorry OP. Me, too. At 41 my #s were similar, but AMH was 1. I got pregnant easily at 39, gave birth just before turning 40. I did lots of IVF rounds, but no luck, so I did DE at 43 and will give birth at 44. There is no satisfying explanation. A friend who has true DOR got pregnant naturally after being told her hormone levels weren't good enough to do any type of ART that used stims. She was 38. I think it's mostly age, but even then it works for some and not others. |
OP here. I'm sorry to hear, it's so difficult especially when secondary infertility comes out of nowhere (as it did for me as well). I never would have imagined that I'd have difficulties getting pregnant a second time. Even my OB/GYN predicted I'd be pregnant soon after we started TTC #2 given my history the first time around. Even some of the REs I saw said I'd be pregnant within the year naturally. All of them were wrong. I have also explored the "immune issues" issue because my child is a boy. I did the entire blood testing process and was found to have elevated NK cells but the significance of this is unclear. I feel so alone because I literally do not know a single other person who is going through secondary infertility. All of my friends have 2-4 kids and I feel very alone. |
There's a big secondary infertility group on FB if you are on FB. Lots of people to help you feel not alone! |
