NP. To the Tutor: Thank you x1000000 for all these really helpful tips! I would love to know your contact info if you are taking new clients! Any suggestions for a kid that is VERY resistant to any kind of help?
We did dictation as well, but I had DS write his own copy from the version dictated to me. In our case, DS's poor handwriting was slowing him down in conceptualizing and organizing his thoughts. We needed to separate the difficult (boring topic) from the truly odious (writing) to make a little progress. It's a bit of a copout for the reasons the tutor just described, but seemed like the lesser of two evils. (And I was worried that the voice recorder would become a major distraction, but hope to use when he is more mature.) |
