Link to another thread about Key and Lee.
https://www.dcurbanmom.com/jforum/posts/list/733938.page What I got from the discussion 1. Add an AAP program at Key 2. Get rid of IB or AP and IB or get rid of IB at other HS and make Lee an IB magnet |

I went to both Key and Lewis (back when it was called Lee) I was there in 2019 and I didn’t have a positive experience. I was picked on and bullied and admin repeatedly did nothing even after being physically assaulted. This carried on into highschool so I ended up leaving Lee for my last 2 years and missed out on a great deal of the highschool experience to opt for an alternative school with strict rules on student conduct.
As far as teachers go I would say Lee does have a few good ones. However admin repeatedly ignored bullying and I was not the only person who felt that way. |

The students in the Lewis Leadership Program created a Museum of Service honoring those who have served the community.

| How many students have transferred into Lewis to join this program? Is it working to help grow the student population? |
Only 1 did and they already left. |
I know this will sound condescending but this “Museum of Service” sounds like what routinely happens at a matter of course at other schools. It may be that to engage students at Lewis they need to dress it up a bit more, and if so that’s great, but it’s not the sort of thing that’s likely to lead students in other pyramids to get excited about the “leadership” program there the way that, say, the specialized performing arts courses at the Fairfax Academy or health sciences courses at the Falls Church Academy attract other students. |
| Crazy necro thread. Good lord. |
| Last posting on this thread was 5 years ago. Why respond to a 5 yr old comment? Weird. |
