climate change and MCPS?

Hey, does anyone have any experience or tips to share on how to help make your kid's school a bit greener? I'm not sure what can be done that doesn't require jumping through lots of bureaucratic hoops. Thanks!

I think it's a great question OP. I know schools can work to get a Green School rating. In our school, one of the teachers and some parents took the lead. It was a lot of work but worth it and it teaches the students a lot. Here's some more info if you want to work on it in your school: https://www.montgomeryschoolsmd.org/curriculum/outdoored/outreach/green-schools.aspx

What a dumb Trumpian post. Virtually all energy reduction efforts save money over the long term, many save money over the medium term and some even save money over the implementation costs right away.

But keep on advocating for us all to consume as many fossil fuels as possible!

ROFL, this is such an absurd statement. Lets put wind farms at each school and see how long it would take to get a return on the investment.

Another dumb response - why would a school system be involved with installing a wind farm? Can you provide a citation of that happening anywhere, ever?
