The style makes them totally wearable even when they're "too big," and I find my kids are usually wearing two sizes at the same time--last year's and a new size for this year (the oldest is the only one who get any actual new ones). My 16-month-old is actually wearing 70, 75, and 80 right now in pjs (70 in the other clothes).
This weekend they were out of 130s for my tall 7-year-old, who has been wearing that size for 2 years now, in the style she was dying for, so I went ahead and got 140. They're too big, but she loves them and can totally wear them. In other brands without the elastic, they would dragging on the floor. In HA, they're droopy, but fine to sleep in, especially for a kid that really really REALLY wanted that dalmatian print!

99% of my girls' pajamas are from Hanna. Two pairs are from Boden but I discourage them from wearing them because they're not soft or stretchy and I wish I had never bought them. I'll keep them in Hannas until they refuse to wear them anymore. I've also done Tea Collection, Janie and Jack, Carter, and Leveret. Nothing feels as soft or lasts as long as the Hannas, even the other higher-end ones.
