This is great news, but do you have a source? |

Not sure I would waste time on this.
So what happens in a situation like this. I read somewhere you have to "pass" the PARCC algebra test. So does this kid have to re-take it next year. Just curious. |
I found this! https://www.google.com/amp/s/wtop.com/maryland/2018/09/maryland-wants-to-see-end-of-parcc-tests-but-whats-next/amp/ |
| They (MSDE) will put out for bids for a new assessment that measures growth on the Common Core. There will still be a standardized test, it just won’t be PARCC after this school year. This year, still PARCC. |
Same situation here. My kid had really low PARCC scores last year but was a good student. We approached teachers at the school, but didn’t get any guidance as to what core skills DC was lacking and why the scores were so low. Agree that it was really frustrating that they administer this test, but nobody seems to be able to interpret the results. The teacher was basically just like, don’t worry about it and I have no idea. |

My DD has consistently gotten a 5 and a 3 on the parcc, for English vs math, except the one year she got a 2 in math.
I haven't done anything except get her math tutoring, which raised her back a high 3. I am okay with this. |
