This. One of the advantages of hard boiled eggs is they keep better than other foods since you cook them inside the shell. As long as they are unpeeled, you are definitely good after just 12 hours. |
OP is from 2018. |
What if I left out in the ice water after I took them out of the cooking water? I would have been 10-12 hours before I put them in the fridge |
Perfectly fine. They are still in the shell. |
They have been on the counter for six years. Probably should throw them out at this point. |
When i was young we would leave our found Easter eggs in our baskets for days. And eat them days later. Never had a problem. |
Yes, eat your 5 year old eggs you left out and report back. I’m sure it’s fine. Did the ice hold? |
You will be fine. In Europe they are not refridgerated at all. It's a US thing to refridgerate everything. |
In the US the bloom is washed off so it is less safe to keep them out for weeks like in Europe. But 12 hours is fine, 6 years not as much. |
They're fine, OP.

But hasn’t been heard from since? Concerning. |
I routinely took hard boiled eggs on multi-day train journeys in Europe. Overnight in your house is fine! |
