Daycare didnt tell us of swine flu case

Anonymous
OP here..my issue/question I think has been responded to. I was wondering if others had been in situations similar IE: the daycare did not tell them if there was a "swine flu case", and in my case the parent actually told the Director. Of course I do not expect to know who BUT as others have said there are many different reasons why the daycare should alert parents. I am in MD and I will check to see if its required.
I was trying to figure out if not alerting parents was the norm or not, thought perhaps I was overreacting. My gut told me no, but figured I would put it out there. As usual going with your mothers instict seems to be the norm!

My 3 year old son (and my other 2 kids and me and my husband) had H1N1 last week. I kept him home from preschool all week and emailed his teacher that he had swine flu. The director has not notified anyone else in the school and I'd be shocked if that happened. Why would they have to? Personally, I'd feel like he was being treted like a leper if a letter was sent home w/ every child saying my child had been ill. We don't get letters when anyone else has a cold or the seasonal flu.
