maybe he thought you were the sitter? |
I have been to Town Hall multiple times with my children (Ages 3 YO and 18 months).
We go for dinner, we go early and sit in the back. We enjoy our meals (with a drink) and leave. My children are well behaved at restaurants and I have never had a negative experience at Town Hall. Is there any chance that there is more to the story? |
We too were in the back downstairs room, near the restroom. My child was sitting quietly enjoying his chicken fingers. No gimmicks here, I used to love this place before I had kids. |
Wow pp. Have you thought that the op might be mad at this paul guy and is trying to get him back? Since she's so willing to give out information..... just something to think about |
Any time one of my friends was refused alcohol at a bar or restaurant, there was more to the story than what they told. They usually leave out some inappropriate behavior that drew the concern of the bartender. |
I agree that there must be more to this story than the account given. I also think that Paul should be notified so he can explain/defend himself.
|
You weren't denied lunch. Just a drink. |
If you really want to get back at this guy and the restaurant (and I agree that there is more to this story and "Paul" should have a chance to defend himself)...what you should do is an anti-boycott. Invite all your mommy friends to bring their unruly toddlers and crying infants during a dinner rush. I think moms with small children boycotting is exactly what the restaurant is trying to achieve. But I'm sure there is more to this... |
Maybe breastfeed and order a cupcake. |
I think I would be pissed if I responsibly ordered a glass of wine and was denied because I had a child with me.
I can't do it right now, but why doesn't someone call the restaurant, and inquire about their policy? Ask to speak to Paul Holder and ask him directly. (Or maybe two or three people call. . .) |
another complaint... blown. out. of. proportion. |
Okay, I actually just called the restaurant. No answer. According to the website, they don't serve lunch. How did the OP meet there during the day??
Has anyone been there for lunch? |
They are open for brunch sat and sunday.
Paul probably wants to talk to Leslie before posting anything on this site ![]() |
I am a PP who just reread this thread. It appears that the OP has previous history with the manager. This makes me a little suspect of her motives. |
never been there but happened to see this today...what's the story? seems like they do work for kids' charities.
