This forum makes me glad I'm single

+1 I've never posted our marital problems on here. Only provided feedback. Compared to most on here, we don't have that many issues.

This forum makes me glad I found my DH. He's not perfect (I know.. neither am I), but he's pretty awesome compared to some of the men on here.

Same. I've been happily married for almost 30 years. People would be bored to death if I posted about our marriage. No drama. No fighting. Just two people living very happy, but very ordinary lives.

This has been us for many years, but we're amazed at all the people that are now divorced. Or going through self inflicted drama caused by one or the other. Some of them won't have the best retirement because of mid life stupidity.

Like men are so much better?

Gay man here. Yes, they are better. DCUM makes me thankful men are who I have to deal with.

I would say lesbians are better, and I'm a hetero female.

Actually, I also come here to cheer myself up. A little while reading the relationship forum reinforces for me what a wonderful wife I have and how lucky I am to have her.

I would say both men and women can be crazy.

As most sane people, but the amount of POS people, men & women, out there is enough to make anyone A sexual

Happiness comes from within, not from someone else anyway. The amount of people that get into relationships just to be in one is insane.

+1 But I do like reading about how much everyone seems to hate their spouses/sibling/kids/MILs. Makes me grateful for my life.

I bet the people that post all the bs here are also posting it on their Facebook

Being single is great!!

It doesn’t have to be a temporary phase in your life until you meet your next partner.
It can be a permanent lifestyle choice and that is normal and okay.

Many people enjoy being single and shouldn’t feel guilty about how they feel.

Relationships are nice if they are solid.
But they require maintenance, upkeep & work and for some people...they just want to enjoy their lives and take everything easy.

To each his (or her!) own.

I'm glad I married a decent woman and not one of the cheating, lying women on this site

There are pros and cons to being happily single or happily married. Both exist! This isn’t a competition. Of course this is a place for the problems so that’s what you see here.

Reading DCUM is like listening to my 8-year-old son and his friends engage in constant one-ups and pissing contests. I think, “oh it’s just boys and they’ll grow out of it.” But the truth is that many of us won’t.
