Hedge fund job

Hedge fund jobs are not great from a long term prospective. Basically you eat what you kill. If you don't make enough money in a year, they will kick you out.

I have had several co-workers from hedge funds.

There are a lot of different types and sizes of hedge funds. Most are not successful and only a few individuals make the real money.

So OP you want to be a worker bee or do you want to run a hedge fund? Big difference. Running requires access/connections to money and understanding of the markets, trading and regulations.
