We reconciled shortly after my wife found out she was pregnant. As far as I'm concerned she is my daughter and have never once looked at her any less than if she was biologically mine. Our therapist, my wifes sister and ger doctor are the only ones who know I am not the father. As far as everyone else is concerned there is no reason to question it.

I couldn't do it.

Plus one, he is amazing and I say that as someone who would never do what he did. I freely admit he is a better man than me

He's a good man to raise that kid as his own because it's not the kid's fault. Kids need good homes and loving parents regardless of the circumstances of their conception.

I have a very different opinion of his wife, however. I didn't think trial separation meant "go out and have unprotected sex with the first guy you see."

Roll out and let the other man take care of all of them.

And i think it would be pretty fair to ask DW to have an abortion in that case, even if she wasn't thrilled with the idea. And it would be reasonable to make the abortion an ultimatum for my staying.

Tangent: We don't actually live in a country where abortion is freely available. We live in a country where abortion is technically legal yet difficult for many women to access. There are fewer and fewer clinics that provide it, and arbitrary waiting periods and restrictions enacted by state governments.

Im not superman, I just did what I had to do for the the sake of my marriage and family. In my wifes defence it wasnt as if she just ran to him. We both kind of saw it coming and knew it was something that was going to happen. Hence why we seperated. She didnt intend to get pregnant.

I get it. You needed to find a way to forgive her, or at least move past it, in order to stay together, since that was what you two decided to do. None of us truly know how we'd deal with the same situation even those of us who have said unequivocally we'd kick the cheating b*tch to the curb. Life is never quite as simple as we imagine it will be in these hypotheticals.

Yikes! That's a pretty big assumption! 50% of all pregnancies in this country are unintended and of those, about half were using contraception at the time.

I myself got unexpectedly pregnant while using 2 forms of birth control.

Unless it was while you were cheating on your husband, I'm not sure that's at all relevant.
