What is the maximum number of miles you would have when buying a used car?

I would also take into account how many previous owners the car had. A car with more than the desirable miles owned by the original owner *can* be a sign of a well maintaine vehicle. When I purchase a vehicle (new) I expect to own it a minimum of 12 years. The only major repair on my 15yo Acura was a clutch replacement around 100k. Otherwise, I've only needed regular maintenance on it. For a used car, I'd ideally want one with no more than 10-12k miles per year on allowing the higher end (maybe even up to 15k mi/yr) for a car owned by the original owner.

Miles are not the deciding factor, maintenance and maintenance records are the key. A vehicle may have a six (6) figure mileage; however if the maintenance was performed and the change items installed as recommended, the vehicle would be "good to go".

Should there be no maintenance record pass on the vehicles.

That’s our limit as well.
