Are student schedules available on the portal?

You have to log into MyMCPS and then click the link.

Anonymous wrote:Is this a goof by MCPS to release the kids’ schedule in this manner or intentional? As some noted this happened last year and the schedules were quickly removed. I was just thinking that if this were intentional MCPS would have communicated it as opposed to letting the kids share this information via Instagram (which is how my kids found out about it).

This is not under schedule - this is the attendance roster. So they are setting up the db for the teachers to keep track of class attendance. It makes sense that they have to do this in advance. If the link weren't circulating, I don't know how you would find this information.

I guess the ingenuity of MCPS students outsmarted the MCPS programmers.

It would be great to tap into the ideas of students when designing the MCPS website and the myMCPS portal. Students seem to be more forward thinking and know where to get access to things MCPS thinks is hidden.

Didn't work for me. Nothing under Attendance, or under MySchedule. I do see the classes he's to take, but that isn't new information.

+1, it is gone now but my kids said they did get screen shot.

You’ve got to move fast when MCPS mistakes like this. My son was too busy playing video games when my daughter told him about it last year and...poof...it was fixed by the time he went to look it up.

My kid. She was excited to see her schedule. You got a problem with that?

Those schedules that were seen are subject to change anyway, trust me—I do the scheduling!

+1 Find out what friends are in their class and which teacher they have-why wouldn't a kid want to know?

Wow, you guys are just seriously WAY too invested in this. I get the kids being excited but the parental investment in this is troubling to say the least.

"Where can I find Larla's schedule? I can't find it and all of her friends know theirs? What will Larla do if she has to wait until August to know who is in her class? Is there someone I can call?"

Chill out, divest a bit.

Huh? Some parents clicked on a link that worked for them. It no longer works. No one's making a stink about it here. That's "troubling to say the least"?
