I think at the end of the day, it depends whether you are likely to make it consistently in the better team. That's notably the case for European teams, where many players of African descent choose on this basis.

I'm not one of those americans who thinks pulisic is as good as mbappe but he would start in place of ante rebic. Pulisic is rated a LOT higher than Ante Rebic. Pulisic would be in the 23 easily, if not in the XI as currently constructed.

Sometimes I feel like many in this country just talk without really knowing the global game. I knew this statement was wrong and all it took was a simple google search to get the exact names and some even in D2. Not only that but there is a 20 year old Shaq Moore at Levante who was just recently called up to the USMNT this summer. Pulisic is good but don't make it seem like he will be the greatest ever. This country has so much potential to not only turn out more like him but even better.

The pp just had the chatter incorrect. The amongst Europeans is that both Real Madrid and Barcelona have expressed some interest in Pulisic, along with Liverpool. He would not be the first American to play in La Liga, but he would be the first American to play for FC Barcelona or Real Madrid.

And Pulisic is a winger. His competition would be Asensio, Bale, Lucas Vasquez, maybe Isco. He is not better than any of them. Why are we trying to ship him off to Madrid already so he can be on the bench? He’s a starter for Dortmund. DORTMUND. That might not mean much to people who aren’t all too familiar with the game, but he already plays on one of the biggest teams in the world.

Nobody said he would choose to move. It is just said they have been throwing his name around. I have read that he is very happy at Dortmund for the reasons you listed---playing time. Most teams don't regularly play such young players. He is developing great where he is.

It’s not the best thing for him career-wise, at present. They’re only throwing his name around because they could get a good sub that’s a leader in jersey sales.

He is not in that class nor does he have that level of talent. He is a good player with a lot of upside in terms of the European professional leagues but he is not Messi or Ronaldo. You put either one of those players on the US team and they would have easily qualified. Messi and Ronaldo in their prime are once in a generation and you build your team around them. Seriously compare salaries and transfer fees.

No, he is not. They are in a unique Class of their own--the Peles, Best, Cryuff, etc.. But, he is much better than many jaded Americans in this thread give him credit for. They used to use him as their 'calling card' now we are back to, we will never have a player that can compete successfully on the World stage---when Pulisic's stats have been pretty amazing for your average 18/19-year old Fifa player.

Exactly, different level and no one is looking to sh*t on him. We shouldn't make him out to be the greatest thing ever, yet. Not only that but Pulisic should be the standard that the U.S. should be putting out all of the time and even better in the future. As previously stated he is not even yet at the level of Vasquez, Asensio and many other European up and coming players. Is he a very good player, yes, but he is not at the level we should yet be going crazy about. Give him time and then we'll see where he is at.
