Urgent Help! watering container plants while out of town

We have done this. It works well. I also set up a sprinkler on a timer and moved the plants in front of sprinkler

We have this for our vegetable garden and it works great. I hate watering it all by hand! But it sounds like OP has a lot of pots- I’d hire a neighborhood kid to come a couple times or something. When we go away during a time like this we’ll often move all the pots in the shade to reduce evaporation and have our cat sitter water them a couple times.
