Inability to Spend $$$$ on Hamilton Tickets

Anonymous
I have 4 tickets seated together I’ll sell you for $2000 when you change your mind.

I paid $500 for my two tickets (face value boughtbthrough American Express presale) and they were worth every ten dollar note.

saw it in NYC and LOVED it. Do it!! I'm cheap too, but never feel guilty about spending money on experiences. get orchestra seats.

I was with you until this.

LOL, true. Sad troll.

Not a troll. About half that net worth, would like to see Hamilton but no way I could stomach the prices.

Half that net worth and bought the Kennedy Center tickets!

Um, the Kennedy Center tickets are not expensive at all. Got 2 orchestra center tickets on a Friday night for less than 400 total.

But I LOVE the theatre. Like, it's my happy place. Like, I love it so much I cry. Like, I'm tearing up now just thinking about how passionate I am about it. Like, I sent the cast of BoM a thank you note, thanking them for entertaining me and making me so happy.

But if you're not me, it may not be worth the money to you, and that's okay. You might spend a lot of money on tickets to a baseball game, and I'm the type who would bring a book to a game because it's that boring to me.

I'm with you, PP! I also love theater, but can't afford Hamilton at 300+ bucks a pop (I don't think the tickets run 'over 200', it's much more expensive than that).

Ummmm.. just spend $400 and go to see it in NYC ya dummies

You do you, OP. I hope at the end of your life you look back and think, thank god I didn't spend that money to see Hamilton, as you look at your bank accounts and feel the warmth of numbers.

Lucky you. My Kennedy Center nosebleed seats were 250 each (including the fee). Did you know there were disparities in prices? Now you do, so don't go around telling people they're not expensive.

Very sensible advice!

Because I cannot afford it.

I bought tix on the public sale day for $99 each. No, they aren't the best seats, but that price was in my much much smaller budget than OP's, and very much worth it to me. I have a Hamilton-addicted son.

We flew to Chicago right after it opened there as a family Christmas present. Worth. Every. Penny. I bought four seats for one of the last performances at the KC and I can't wait to surprise our daughter with them. If Hamilton is wrong I don't want to be right!
