How often do you iron?

Why would you iron sheets? I never understood this, if you grab the sheets from the dryer why would you need to iron them?

PP sheet ironer here lol. Ironed sheets and cases simply feel/look different than non. It's just a preference. Doesn't take long and it feels nice. That's the only reason.

What's an iron?

My son missed a question on a test because he did not know what an iron was.... nor was he able to identify a thimble.

My son didn't know what a rotary phone was or how to "dial". Man if that didn't make me feel old af.

I iron 2-3 times a week, and I usually do five or more of mine/DH's items while I'm at it. I cannot stand to wear clothes that are wrinkled! Maybe that's because my mom ironed nearly everything.

Maybe once a month. I let it pile up and do a lot at once. No sheets or anything like that. Just work clothes that need it.

I recently bought a ironing board that hangs on a bedroom door. I now iron as needed. Depending on what I decide to wear that day, I'll spend a few minutes ironing them first.

I'm in the never camp. Or very rarely. And only in extreme situations. I toss whatever is wrinkled into the dryer with a wet wash cloth, set my timer, and go get it while it's still hot.

Or I have it dry cleaned regularly and only do that for touch up "de-wrinkling" in between dry cleanings.

Never.

Once a week in prepping my outfits for the next week. I like everything ironed and don't mind doing it while I watch TV or listen to an audiobook or podcast.

Never. It's one of the domestic tasks I hate the most. I have a steamer and that works for 95% of items. I hit a certain age and financial comfort level where I am ok with paying for my sloth and sending things like button downs to the dry cleaners.

once a month. we stock pile all the ones that need ironing. Mostly my work polos and pants and I will iron DW stuff too.

Never. In fact, 3 year old daughter was in pottery barn kids- picked up a toy iron, and said, "mommy, is this s car?"

Man, it’s probably been 10 years or so...

Never since I bought my steamer! Why can't you steam your button-down shirts? Works fine for me.
