+1 these are great restaurants |
| Two Amy’s or Cactus Cantina |
| Bombay Club |
| The Wharf has some nice spots and it's nice walking around the waterfront |

Central feels fancy but the food is accessible.
Cactus Cantina or Guapo's for Tex-Mex if that's her thing. One cuisine DC does better than most cities is Ethiopian, if she wants to try something she probably hasn't had before. I'd recommend Dukem near U Street or Letena near Columbia Heights. Pizzeria Paradiso might be good--there are several locations. All-Purpose is also tasty; I'd do the one in Navy Yard so you can walk around afterwards and maybe get an ice cream at Ice Cream Jubilee once you're hungry again. |
Oyamel is one of my 13 YO DD's favorite restaurants |

Why are people suggesting chains like fago, nandos and melting pot?
Melting pot is just nasty. |
| Because melting pot is tons of fun for girls that age. |

| There are many great recommendations on here but we need a little more not about your daughter’s tastes and preferences. My 13 year old has eaten at but does not appreciate Jaleo, Zatinya, etc even though I agree they are great. Mine would still prefer a pizza or Mexican restaurant which I think of as very basic. |
