Best national park experience with 4 and 2 year olds?

we did Arches and Canyonlands when my kids were those age. We went in September when it was not as hot. Arches was a good park at those ages because the hikes are short enough that my 4 yr old could so them on his own. 2 yr old was in a hiking backpack most of the time.

Op again, thanks everyone! This is helpful. The above is what I was thinking. I would rather save the adventurous places for later when we can all do the fun stuff together.

Redwoods is nice. I’d avoid places with a lot of opportunity for falling great distances. We did do Yellowstone & Grand Teton with a 3 yo. We all had fun, and I put him on my back in a carrier some of the time. Shenandoah is always fun too. The Big Meadow is great for letting kids run around with no drop-offs.
