Is the Paris Museum pass worth it?

As others have mentioned, kids are free, and at some museums (I don’t remember which ones) you have to stand in line to get the free pass for your kid. So it kind of defeated the purpose. I do think it helped at the Louvre, although there was still a line, albeit a shorter one.

The Paris Museum does not cover the Eiffel Tower. You have to purchased tickets through their official website or with a tour company. https://www.toureiffel.paris/en The Eiffel Tower have time slots if you want to take an elevator up to the Summit (Top Floor). You have to book for the time you want to go up. The other option is that you can walk up to the second floor, but you have to purchase walk up tickets the day of.

The Paris Museum gives a list of all the museums, palaces, churches, monuments, etc. that are covered on the pass. http://en.parismuseumpass.com/ Just to let you know. It is free to enter the Notre Dame. However, the Paris Museum Pass covers the fee of the tower. If you do not choose to walk up the church tower, then there is no need to pay anything.

The Paris Museum Pass is only worth it if you plan to see many of the listed places. If you only plan to see no more than 3 of the listed places, then I don't think it is worth it. You can purchase individual tickets for the places that you want to see. However, if you want to see many places, then it is worth it. It only saves you time from bypassing the long ticket entrance lines, but you will still have to go through security lines. NOTE: Do not enter the Louvre at the Pyramid entrance. Enter the Louvre through the underground mall entrance and visit during their evening hours to avoid crowds.

Yes, children under 18 can enter "most" places in Paris for free. Verify all the places that you want to visit to make sure because some places do require older children to pay a fee for example the Museum of Science and Industry. However, most of the places that tourists will go to will be free for the under 18 crowd.

Only you can decide if it is worth it. For me, it was worth it for my first time visit to Paris because I wanted to see many places and visit palaces outside of Paris. It saved me money and time.
