Eleanor Norton Holmes or Kim Ford?

Anonymous
Norton IS the reason D.C. doesn't have a vote.

Gingrich offered her a deal back in the 90's to get D.C. a vote, in exchange for normalizing the city's gun laws and giving another seat to Utah.

Norton wouldn't take it. She'd rather have a gun ban in D.C. than a vote in Congress for her constituents.

Then the Heller case came along and smacked that gun ban down anyway.

Lose-Lose proposition. And still no vote.

Because of Norton.

Eleanor Holmes Norton is a remarkable civil rights advocate and one of the best things about living in DC. I have so much respect for her.

As a congressional staffer who has seen her frequently, Im worried about her health. She has worked herself to a point of no return and I’m concerned about her ability to represent us well.

She hasn't 0represented us well" since ...... well, ever.

She's a bitter, inarticulate relic, and as long as she's DC's representative, no one is going to take our needs seriously.

Her time was over with more than a decade ago, really. She needs to go. And since she doesn't have the humility and intellect to see an realize that, I submit that that is proof in itself that she needs to go.

Interesting that you'd say a woman who is a double Yale graduate lacks intellect. I'm not voting for her either but that line of attack isn't necessary.

I've met Kim Ford. Ms. Ford seems very sincere, but Eleanor still has my vote until she decides to retire.

She's a legend. And should step down gracefully. I'm voting for Ford.

Sorry, but I'm afraid that Yale has turned to fail.

I’ve worked with her as well, and I agree. I also worry about her liver...

Representation without Taxation wins again.

Did anyone else see Ms. Norton today on C-Span? I think it was on 2019 budget, but could be wrong.

Basically, she was close to in-coherent. I live in inner core VA, so I watch DC like a hawk.

It's time Washington DC. You need better representation.

Is this a serious question? The only credible answer is EHN.

EHN could be drooling in the corner and muttering “I am outraged” as usual, and the dumb sheep of DC will still vote for her.

Before Norton, DC’s delegate was Rev. “Little Lord” Fauntroy. Google him. A sorry streak for DC.

Inner core VA? wtf is that?

If you don't pay taxes in DC, no one cares what you think.
