Tabitha

Bith. Of course if you're from a part of the US that pronounces pen and pin the same, it doesn't really matter.

OP, people don't have to have nicknames. You can call her Tabitha; you can tell other people to call her Tabitha, not Tabby; you can use Ladybug or Green Bean or Belle as a nickname. There aren't any laws about this.

You could always call her Abby.

Unmarried, dresses in a sports bra with tiny shorts constantly smoking looking like white trash. Very much educated, not poor by any means. Don't name your kid Tabitha.

okay?? It's not a trashy name, low class name or a stripper name so I'm not sure what your point is. You could find a degenerate with every name.

I don’t love it. And for bad reasons. The witch daughter from the show Bewitched was Tabitha. And then randomly there was this awful 90s soap called Passions featuring a witch named Tabitha. So two tv witches with the name are my only association ( I don’t know anybody in real life with this name).

^ embarrassed to say I had the SAME thought when hearing this name.

I love Tabitha too.

The names you listed all emphasize the second syllable, unlike TAB-ih-tha.

Annika
Mirabel
Beatrice
Imogen
Claudia
Annabel
Clementine

We have a Louisa, and while we have lots of casual, at home nicknames, none of them are things she'd go by. I have been called a nickname my whole life, and I prefer my given name. I wanted something that was intended to be her full name. You could always just call her Tabitha. Nicknames might evolve that have nothing to do with her name, like we call L "Bug."

I have a Tabitha. There's another one at our ped's office, so who knows, maybe it's trending. The daycare ladies call her Tabby, but we don't....although she is starting to call herself that.

Can Abby be a nickname for Tabitha?

Anything can be a nickname for anything. There are no laws about nicknames, nor police to enforce them.

Wow I was just thinking what a nice name Tabitha is - I hope you go with it OP!

No, I meant Beth. People on DCUM are oddly uptight about the nn matching the name exactly: this crowd definitely would never have invented Kate for Catherine.
