What to plant against house in shade?

Hydrangeas actually need a little sun or they will get leggy and won't bloom. Don't be fooled.

Here are some real evergreen shade winners: Autumn fern, lungwort. The lungwort has really pretty foliage and beautiful early spring flowers.

My coral bells also do better with a little bit of sun so be careful with those if it's really true shade.
