OP here. Yes, I put down a deposit of $282.

That's NOTHING!!!!!!!!

Do you have any idea what a major fence job costs?!?!

You're not even at 5% of a typical large residential fence job. Good grief.

Its just to replace a small section of fence - $282 is definitely something.

No, it isn't. It's literally ALMOST nothing.

$2,800 is something. $5,600 is definitely something.

$282 isn't.

OP here. When I started this thread out of frustration a little over two weeks ago my assumption was that Long Fence would spring into action and fix my fence. Its not a big job - half day for a small crew - and Long Fence is a big company which boasts 331 employees, 40 project managers, and 200 construction crews. It turns out that was wishful thinking. And its not that Long Fence didn't know about the thread because I e-mailed a link to my Long Fence sales rep. But the work hasn't been completed, and to the best of my knowledge it's not even scheduled. So, I'm starting to suspect there's a much bigger problem at Long Fence and I'm growing increasingly concerned about the ability of this contractor to come through.

Tell them to make you a new fence or you'll Blast them on Yelp, open a complaint to BBB, open a case with the contacting board.

They must lose money and get hit hard

You could certainly do it yourself for $282.

Their yelp reviews are awful. How do they stay in business? Good marketing, I guess.

OP here. I followed the advice of posters and escalated the issue within Long Fence. Last Sunday morning I emailed Mike Ritter, Jr., a VP there at Long Fence. Mike sent a reply within minutes saying that he would look into it. Early Tuesday morning I got a call letting me know the job had been scheduled for Thursday. Yesterday, when I got home from work, I saw repairs had been made. Earlier today I inspected the repairs and they look good. I've no idea why the job wasn't scheduled and completed well before now, but I'm glad Long Fence has finally completed the work. This closes out this thread I think.

Yike. You shouldn’t have to contact the VP, but glad it’s done.
