do prayers to St. Jude work?

^^^^continuing above, St. Rita will pray for your impossible situation if you ask her. https://www.franciscanmedia.org/saint-rita-of-cascia/

And of course our Blessed Mother will pray too - she is well acquainted with dire circumstances.

But again, I also encourage you to speak directly to Jesus about your situation. Asking Our Mother and the saints to pray for you does not preclude in any way your also speaking to Jesus.

May God give you the grace to deal with your adversity!

I truly believe that a huge part of the effectiveness of prayer is not that we necessarily 100% get the outcome we desire but that we get the strength within ourselves to deal with the outcome that comes to us (as well as whatever process we go through to get there)

Right now I am praying for someone. Barring a medical miracle, our desired end is not going to happen. Of course we will continue to pray that that miracle comes, but my prayer also focuses on how we are growing and in some ways being changed for the better as we’re walking this dark road (that seemingly offered nothing good!) through this process and that we are all given the grace and strength to cope with whatever happens.

I have prayed the full novena a few times and my prayers were answered

Me too. Prayer has changed my life and the life of my family. Novena to St Jude has been very powerfulfor me. You asked...there’s your answer.

St. Jude always brings me comfort. If you can find a St. Jude candle light it and let it burn for 7 days.

I named my son after St Jude. Enough said.

Reviving this thread. What do you do when you pray and pray and pray and feel like no one hears your prayers?

God runs the world- not st. Jude.

You are not praying TO St. Jude; you are asking St. Jude to pray FOR you, just like you might ask a friend to pray FOR you.

Ask God to help you and also ask St. Jude to pray for you.

Here's what the Bible says in 1 Peter 5:6-7: "Humble yourselves, therefore, under the mighty hand of God so that at the proper time he may exalt you, casting all your anxieties on him, because he cares for you."

Ask forgiveness for your sins through the resurrection of Jesus Christ, and you will have an advocate to the Father, and you can cast all your burdens on Him and have confidence that He will take care of you.

I will you all the best.

When a Catholic prays, they do pray to God.

We also ask for the intercession of Saints, so that they will pray for us too. We also pray that our loved ones who went before us will intercede and pray for us.

God has a plan, and often that plan is not our plan.

Pray that God will be merciful to your needs, that God will guide you on His path for you, and that God will give you the strength to see and accept His will.

Anonymous wrote:No. Praying to saints does not help and it is not Biblical. Jesus taught us in the Bible to pray exclusively to His Father, God.

We are not praying to saints. We are asking them to pray for us.

My mother always said that prayers are always answered, just sometimes the answer is no.

I am sorry for your struggle.
