Why do you need to post about it? Update your profile when you start the job.


It lets the recruiters on LinkedIn, former mentors, professors, etc know that their upcoming employments needs are already filled. Personally, it makes me happy to see these updates. I imagine it saves recruiters time.

Again, what's the problem? Why do you care? It's like complaining that your FB feed is full of kids & food. If you don't like what the channel is for, why are you on it?

Well at least they have a LinkedIn account. Smart move actually - because it comes off as confident of their career path and they are networking and making connections. That’s awesome!
