Niagara Falls (and Niagara on the Lake)
Quebec Montreal Lake Winnipesaukee Pittsburgh has a surprising amount to do |
| We did San Diego last August and the kids absolutely loved it. We had great food and weather and there was plenty for everyone to do. |

We are in a similar situation. We just can't decide where to go this year (also planning an August trip). Kids are 2nd and 5th grade. We typically do a NJ beach trip but want something different this year. I think we'd miss not doing a beach trip at all but we at least want to try a new beach. It will be just our immediate family and we typically like beach towns with lots to do (as opposed to quiet beach towns). Any ideas for US or tropical beaches that might fit the bill?
We are also considering Europe but not sure if we should wait a year so the kids can really appreciate it (plus I think we would miss the beach during the summer so thinking of saving that for Spring Break). Also thought of San Diego as it seems we might be able to split time there between beach and tourist attractions (zoo etc.)? Thanks in advance for any ideas. |
