PP 01:48 here. Sorry, I missed the followup question way back when. Our DE cycle was more expensive because of very high donor compensation (more than $35k) plus additional travel expenses. Our donor had gotten a fellowship outside the US and needed to be brought back to the US for the cycle.
The single largest category of costs for the entire process were all the legal fees. Our wonderful gestational carrier got pathetically little compensation for her time and trouble. |
