| The new Traverse has captains chairs in the second row. The passenger side second row seat also slides/tilts forward with a car seat installed to allow access to the 3rd row. |
The Pathfinder has this option too. Same car, just not the luxury version. |
| I’ve had two GMC Acadias with captain’s chairs in the second row. |
| There's a Hyundai Santa Fe available with 3rd row and captains seats in 2nd row so someone could squeeze through to get to the back row. |
| This was several years ago, but we had this same issue and bought the Mazda CX-9 because the seats slid forward instead of folding down so we could keep the car seats installed while using the third row. |
| We have the MDX with car seat in second row. Love it. I’ve never uninstalled DD’s car seat to get in back. Seats slide forward. |
| I believe the new 3rd row Subaru will have the option of captains chairs or bench seating in the 2nd row. |

We have a 2017 Acadia with captains chairs. You can’t get by the rear facing Britax but you can get by the forward facing booster to get to the 3rd row. The 3rd row is generally folded down and the cargo space is more than a Tahoe.
I also had a Santa Fe at one point and loved that car. Not enough cargo space for our current situation but maybe next car... |
