| DS never wants to participate in organized sports but is always willing to go to open skate at the ice rink. He enjoys it with the family or friends. He doesn’t want to take classes or try hockey. He also likes to ride his bike in the neighborhood. |

I did stage crew all through high school. It was the best! Lots of fun, learned some carpentry skills, no pressure. |
My son does tech crew for the plays in MS and would be interested in the same for HS, but says that it's very competitive and not everybody who volunteers can do it? Is that so? I thought it was essentially a no-cut type of activity. Can anyone with HS kids speak to this? We are in MCPS. Thanks. |
| I have a high school kid at Whitman and it is competitive for higher level positions but anyone who wants to do some sort of tech at the school can do it. It's a great group of kids- and they learn a lot of great skills and work hard. Highly recommend. |
PP here, thanks for responding and that makes sense. It sounds like my DS as an incoming Freshman could do Tech, but he may have to work his way up the ladder again before he can do what he really wants. |
