Help! Where can I find peanut-free cupcakes (preferably at a grocery store)?

Anonymous
Double check those Giant stores! They do sell a prepackaged brand of cupcakes that are made in a peanut/nut free facility. Available as yellow cake or chocolate cake, small or mini cupcakes. $3.99 per pack, something around there.

These are NOT made in the bakery at Giant. They are refrigerated for longer shelf life, put out as needed.

(I know this is a year late but thought it might help for future info)

Do they have to be cupcakes? Whole Foods sells several allergy friendly prepackaged cookies (no eggs, wheat, dairy, eggs, etc). I think they're in boxes of 12.

Just bought the Cherrybrook Kitchen mix for my DC preschool class.

My only compliant is that it barely makes 24 cupcakes. Kind of mad for $4.99 a pop.

I don't think that any of the mixes would be acceptable either b/c the pans, pots, utensils etc. could be contaminated. Our school has addressed this issue by eliminating all food treats. Can't you bring in Dollar Store Glow sticks or something?

Yes, WF does sell allergy-safe prepackaged baked goods, but no cupcakes. They're called "School-Safe Treats" or something like that. Banana-chocolate chip mini pound cakes, yum!

Also, the "Enjoy Life" brand has several cookies to choose from and those are allergy-safe for just about any imaginable food issue.

these are really good though. all my friends buy the mix now even though they don't need peanut free.

just be happy you don't have a child with an allergy. I get really tired of paying five times more for everything.
