We were waitlisted for PreK3 never made it in, tried again for PreK4 (even though there were a handful of slots). Although as many threads point out, there is a ton of corruption with the PG schools, many many families have moved into the area for the affordable housing and are hoping to get into one of the speciality programs (vs attending their terrible ES). We have decided to leave the county all together. I feel better about not getting in to Dora Kennedy reading about the number of kids who drop out.

She means the Prek3 montessori. I think she is confused because Dora Kennedy only has entry at K

I hate that these come out so late - we had to commit to a private by March 16th. I'm glad we decided not to chance it because DC was waitlisted everywhere, but it would still be nice to have all of the information at once.

I'm guessing Capitol Heights Elementary. It is a TAG center.

I would guess it is either
1) You got in or
2) Your child isn't TAG identified or the TAG identification didn't make it to the TAG office.

I think 1 is pretty likely

I just got a letter for PK4 Montessori that says waitlist #4, but the web site says #11... what is the more updated source? The letter came today and is dated April 6.

Curious about the same. Website says my child is waitlisted for pullen in the 220s. Letter I got today says 80. No change to site.

My guess is that the online data was the raw number and the letter is the wait list number. So if you have an online number of 30 and kids 1-25 got a spot then you would be 5 in the waitlist shown in the letter. I think that is what happened last year.

There is some chance. No idea how deep they have gone in recent years, but many families can't make the timing work.
